THE TULIPS OF HA BONIM BEACH
This is my finished painting (60x60cm). I was trying to recall and put on canvas that wonderful day in spring when we visited the wild tulips on the sea shore at HaBonim Beach in the north of Israel. You can read about it here.
Many small flowers bloomed low on the ground among them, those of blue, yellow and white were dominant. That spring outing with my husband is engraved deeply in my memory, I am a collector of happy days. :-)

GREEN FACED MEN WITH PINK HATS
Out of the Blue.
Where did they come from?
I have no clue!
I love the green faces.
What do they mean?
It is quite a naughty green.
And these outfits - outrageous really!
But the men smile kindly
And have sexy noses.
They brought me roses.
So I invited them to stay for a while.

NIQABI
Niqabi - 40cm x 30cm - 2013
The niqab (Arabic) is a face veil worn by Muslim women. It comes originally from Bedouin culture in the Arabian Peninsula and has been already used in pre-Islamic time by men and women in order to protect the face from sun and sand.
Usually it is worn in conjunction with a black robe, the chador. The smaller the field of visible skin around the eyes, the more similar the niqab is to a burka, which is a garment that covers body and face completely.
Women wearing the niqab are called "niqabi".

GEISHA
Geisha - 40x40cm - 2014
“What a lovely place this world would be if only people would feel affection for everyone else, and all the ugliness of the human heart were to vanish - our envy of those better off than ourselves and our scorn for those worse off.”
Autobiography of a Geisha - Sayo Masuda
